Dansan-myeon is a small village where life centers around agricultural fields. The village’s old houses and storage buildings, set against the geometric patterns of farmland, create a continuous and distinctive landscape that extends to the surrounding mountains. This setting, including vineyards, visually articulates the local identity. The typologies are deeply intertwined with memory, function, place, and landscape, revealing the unique characteristics of the region. 

The Dansan Administrative Welfare Center continues the formal and spatial qualities of the typical storages through a process of landscape integration. By blending internal and external spaces, the site becomes a metaphorical landscape that meets the diverse needs, reflecting the role of storage buildings as everyday structures supporting the diverse aspects of local life. 

단산면은 밭 작물을 중심으로 삶이 이어져 온 마을이다. 산과 하천을 따라 자연스럽게 패턴화 된 밭을 배경으로 마을의 오래된 주택과 저장고는 그 너머의 천마산, 비봉산과 함께 연속되는 고유한 풍경을 보여준다. 밭을 일구기 위한 도구와 작물의 보관을 위한 저장고나 부속건물이 마을 곳곳에 위치하는데, 이는 마을 주민들의 삶의 터전인 포도밭과 함께 단산면의 장소성이 가시적으로 드러나는 중요한 일상적 요소로 해석된다. 이 지역에서 오랜 시간 동안 지속되어온 유형은 단순한 형태 이상의 기억, 기능, 장소, 풍경에 깊이 연결되어 있으며, 마을이 가지고 있는 고유한 유형의 발견이기도 하다. 

단산면 행정복지센터는 이러한 장소의 경관화를 통해 저장고의 형태적, 공간적 특성을 연속시켜 구성한다. 지역 주민들이 생활 속에서 느끼는 일상적인 감각과 지역적 특성을 반영하여, 지역 공동체와의 깊은 연계를 형성하게 된다. 장소 안에서 내외부가 혼재된 센터는 다양한 기능을 충족하기 위해 만들어지는 일상의 건축물인 저장고와 같이 주민들의 다양한 요구를 수용하는 은유적 풍경이 된다.
